Description:

A melody from Ottawa valley fiddler Tommy Sharbot.He was renowned for his ornate playing of old time waltzes and his vast knowledge of Ottawa Valley music.I think the melody is a variation of an old Irish sentimental tune[I love that stuff,especially if it's in waltz time],'Seumas O'Brien". The 2 dulcimer approach is strategy,I know I'll never get through a tune without mistakes but there's a good chance I'll make mistakes in a different place second time around,can cover it up,laugh.

I couldn't manage a chromatic lap dulcimer yet it's very cool for those of you who can.

Not watching the World Series yet it would be okay with me if the Brewers win this one.

I'm glad someone created a chromatic dulcimer and that I have one in my bullpen(yes,I watched the World Series last night).I love the challenge of using string bends,tunings and a capo to make my fiddle repertoire playable on a 6÷1/2 fret dulcimer but sometimes it just doesn't work.
