Description:

I used to go mummering in NL.Great fun,music,dancing,songs and recitations,people in disguise.The tradition involved a pantomime featuring a sword fight between St.George and the Turkish Knight.It could get interesting when the protagonists got overly enthusiastic!In Toronto I was part of the Irish community's Wren B'ys.Every St.Stephen's day I would take a garish polyester dress I bought at the Sally Ann "out of the closet" for my costume,laugh.Marvelous times....P.S. the tunes are; the kissing dance,micmac square dance and mussels in the corner.
