Hi Howard. I am a total beginner self taught dulcimer player. Youtube is a lifesaver. Anyway I have bought a Rugg &Jackel dulcimer, on Shopgoodwill .com, got it for $29 and received it today. It is a tiny little thing with a 19'vsl. It came from California and I am truly pleased. It hasl128884 and D-00 on the inside label. As soon as I opened it I restrung and it sounds like heaven. Anyway can you tell me what the numbers mean? I will post a picture of it as soon as I get my camera back. Thank you and happy New Year
I sent you a follow request, but wanted to see what you could tell me about one of your Dulcimers from way back that I just purchased on EBay, there was no information as to when made or what type of woods were used etc. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance, George
Thank you for the add Howard! It's very nice to meet you as well!!
Thanks Howard, I think I will just give up on trying to find any info on it and just play it
I was finally able to send you my private message Howard- please check your inbox now and my apologies for making you wait!
Can't wait! I'm a big fan!
Welcome to the FOTMD site! It's really good to see you here and continue our new friendship in this sweet music world.
Hey Howard and welcome to the FOTMD crew, and thanks for posting those wonderful vids, they were great
Thanks, Howard. I appreciate your comments on the dulcimer. In fact I was hoping you'd be able to tell me about it (which you have.) It's an e-bay find, sold as "unmarked." Imagine my surprise when I saw "Capritaurus" inside it. I've used it on 2 videos: "I got Stripes" and "Rock Salt and Nails" (see Youtube or "rocking in the free world" group on here.
Hi Howard, and welcome to the world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a great place to spend some time, exchange ideas about the dulcimer and to meet some good people.
Howdy and welcome to the FOTMD crew! It's an honor to have you here!
