John; thank you so much for listening to “In the Garden” and for your kind comment! Our pictures tell a life story and just add so much to our music. I certainly felt that with your “Wayfarin’ Stranger”!
Thank you Cindy for your warm response. I love the artistry you showed in your video: "In The Garden, A tribute to my Sister-in law and friend". Thanks for sharing.
Hi Cynthia, thank you for your uplifting affirmation. And thank you also to Gordon, Saltsprings, Robin, Ken, and many others who have liked this video. It's great to have so many friends at The Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer.
Unique interpretation of that that I just love. If you end up with 10,000 views soon, 9,000 are going to be mine. You are an inspired and unique voice John and I'm glad I found you.
A few notes to add to my rendition of Wayfarin' Stranger:
My dulcimer was tuned to D A a, Capo 1which now becomes a Dorian Mode. This haunting mode suited my singing range. I also like the dissonance in the music which yearns for completion, just as the Wayfarin' Stranger yearned for completion in his life too.

John, Wayfarin' Stranger has long been a favourite of mine, I play it quite often. Your beautiful rendition brings me great comfort. Thank you.

I especially like the tribute to your mother and father, John. I miss mine every day.
