I like this John! I really appreciate your introductory narrative explaining the theme and background of Ann’s lovely hymn. The melody is also very important to me. In our church, we practice infant baptism and sing a hymn called “Children of the Heavenly Father” to this tune prior to the sacrament of Baptism. Well played!
John and Anne, This hymn is so beautiful! As I listen to the words and the dulcimer, I am there! Thank you for sharing the words and story of Brother Lawrence.
This is just so lovely, Anne and John. Very creative. I especially love the repeated musical phrase at the end of each verse, which allows the words to sink in and gives the hymn room to breathe sweetly. Thank you for recording and sharing this with us! It is very special.

Beautiful, John. I love the way you provide a harmony part along with the melody.
