Traditional tune by Pierre Attaingnant (1494-1552). Performed by members of the German Mountain Dulcimer Board at a gathering in Satteldorf, Germany on October 25th, 2014.
Hey Peter- this is wonderful, and the power of the group of players really adds a majestic quality to this particular tune.
I'm wondering if you can point me to the sheet music of this tune? I'd love to have it and try it out on my hummel and my low pennywhistles. I could work it out by ear but the sheet music gives me a jump start. Thanks if possible!
@Edward: Thank you for the nice feedback. We don't meet regularly. So in the morning we rehearsed several pieces and recorded two of them in the afternoon. It is a great experience to work on a piece of music with newcomers and advanced players and then be able to "perform" it with the whole group!
Peter, that's a beautiful arrangement. It's nice to see you post some videos. I've been wondering how you are doing. We haven't seen much from you lately. I'm sure you are busy. Thanks for sharing
ok will do- thanks!
Thank you for your friendly feedback, Lisa! :)
Please ask Martin Oesterle for the sheet music. He taught us that piece during that gathering. I myself don't have sheet music of it.
Martin is also a member of Fotmd: https://fotmd.com/martin-oesterle
We played it in DAdd tuning with capo in the 1 st fret, so that it's actually E-m minor. You can also tune to DAcc and play it in D-minor.
Yes, it's a lovely piece of music! :)

Bravo.
I enjoyed listening to you, thank you
Thank you, Ken and Edward.

Like this one too, Guys.
I'm fine, Patty.
But it's true, I've been busy with family, job and other musical instruments...
But we had a great gathering.
Thank you for taking the time. :)
