Thank you, John, Gayle, Eva, Kimberley and Kevin! :)
@Kevin: A few years ago we spent a family holiday in Wales aboht 1 hour from where Robin lives today. What a pity, I didn't know Robin and I didn't know what a mountain dulcimer is at that time.
But Northern Wales is a beautiful area - if I ever get there again, I'll try to arrange a dulcimer meeting there!
@Robin - I'd love to watch and listen to your recording! Hope you played it on one of your great replica dulcimers!
It is an old French Carol, as far as I know (Les anges dans nos campagnes), and the German words also are about the angels that sing to the shepherds on the fields...
Great minds must think alive Goschi! I've just sat down and recorded this piece this afternoon - I could remember the tune from my school days but I had no idea what it was called or where it came from.
You played that so well. Great, great, great!!!
