Randy! I was trying to make it sound old by using a thumb strum. I hope it worked.
It is a lovely old hymn, Irene. And it does fit noter/drone pretty well, I think. :)
Yes, I also enjoyed this unfamiliar hymn. I looked it up on EVERYTHING DULCIMER and there it was with all the words and the tune is great. fits Noter style very well. aloha, irene
Jesus! I like the way you play this Robin
Val, I'm a fan of yours!
FOTMD has, I believe, played a pivotal role in the resurgence of ND play. :) Noter/drone is all I know-- those drones got hold of me!
Very authentic sound Robin. We have four R's here on FOTMD all playing mighty ND.
Thanks a bunch, Shawn!

Cynthia, I'm glad you sang along! It is a lovely old hymn. Those listening on Sunday will be blessed to hear it!
John, I'll have to keep my ears open for the episode. Here at my folks', we watch Andy Griffith sometimes. :)
Robin, the episode was "The Case of the Punch in the Nose"-- a hilarious show! Barney wouldn't let things be.
Robin thanks for this - what a find. I listened to yours about 20 times, then sang along with the words on hymnal.net about 20 times, then downloaded it with the guitar chords and played and sand it 'til I'm hoarse. I just love this. Someone has already asked me to play it in church who I played it for over the phone!
Thank you, friends! I got to play with my favorite duet partner. :)
John, do you recall which episode? (I've noticed there was lots of music on the earlier episodes.)
Robin, this is wonderful! I love that hymn, its spiritual significance and its words.
(Did you know that Andy and Barney once hummed that on the Andy Griffith Show?)
That was terrific, I just love your duets!
