The Spring at Iron Point

The Spring at Iron Point

style or instrument: lap dulcimer & guitar

musician/member name: Robin & Mark

The Spring at Iron Point Cemetery used to almost bubble out of the ground. When we were out at Iron Point yesterday, the spring had water yet there was so little I couldn't detect any trickle.

Thanks for listening, friends, and for the nice comments!  I posted this some time ago yet edited the title yesterday so the recording was bumped into the feed on the main page.

@dusty-turtle I hope we get to head to Iron Point soon and make a video either at the church out that way (Iron Point Holiness Church is what I think it used to be called) or the little burial ground.  I'll check on the state of the spring when we get out that way.  If it's no longer sending out water, I may need to do as you suggest and re-title the tune.

Always a joy, thank you!

Maybe the title should be "Dry Spring at Iron Point."

There are some nice changes of pace here.  Those spots where you sit (or Mark sits) on a chord for a breath really add some emotion.  And your playing is sensitive and precise as always.
