Thanks KateI think I was using my natural wool felt pick on this one which does give a more mellow soundI think Ukulele players favour them but make sure you get natural wool ones because the synthetic ones are rock hardI usually use a halved bamboo noter because firstly bamboo slides well and is cheap and easy to cut and secondly I have a problem with my left hand that affects my grip and dexterity so splitting the bamboo makes it easier for me to keep hold of the noter.I wouldn't worry about sceetching or swizzling strings although I did at first just keeping on strumming and embrace the sound if it happensI find it happens more when I'm in AAA or DAA and less so the tighter the strings like in DDDOn your recent posting I think my viewing problem were most likely down to my dodgy internet connection than your posting ability!

Thanks for your comments Filipinouker. I'm glad you liked it.I'm sure you will have no trouble with N&D style having seen some of your postings.I came up with this tune practicing the technique of sliding from one note to the nextThere's a video by Robin Clark on this and on Thumb strumming on this site which you will see the link to if you go to the Old Time and N&D section ( I think))

Carrie,Patty thanks very much.I think blowing dust from the mic on my phone and choosing another upload option seemed to solve the buffering problemGlad you liked the tune. I'm up in 'the lakes' right now but sadly have to leave tonight so it will be getting a reprise later!
