The Sweaters nice, the music well played, and the dulcimer sounds great.

Hi all - thanks for the kind comments. Wayne - I appreciate it, but I don't actually think there would be much interest in an entire CD of me. :) John - it just started turning a little cooler here in NJ, and really only in the early morning/late evenings. Dana - interesting about your family. Must have been tough work. Regarding using my fingers vs sliding - I think on some tunes sliding around is appropriate (and helps give the dulcimer its distinctive sound), but I also think (and remember, this is just my humble opinion), that in the dulcimer world this is often overdone, and leads to a lack of clarity on faster tunes that sounds a little sloppy to me. (Note - I'm not suggesting my playing isn't sloppy, I'm just making an observation on sliding vs deliberate fretting with the fingers.)

Nice tune and i like you style of playing using your fingers instead of sliding them that is what I am working on. Also my grandfather ggrand and gggfather all laid track by hand for L&N since 1800's so I love anything to do with railroad tunes. Thank you

Hey you two, it's been sweater weather here for most of our "summer?". Never heard this before Brian, love that long shift up the frets !
John
Thank you John! (Yes, it was a little chilly this morning.)
Yep...that's a keeper. Outstanding as usual! I'm jealous that it's sweater weather somewhere!
