Hi Gail, and thank you for your kind comments. I actually don't know whether I have tab for Nonesuch, but I will take a look later this evening, and if I had created tab for it, I will post back.
Brian, this was very nice and I like the combination. I am learning Nonesuch this week, but a little simpler version. Do you have any tab for the version that you played?
Hi Jan! Thank you so much for taking the time to listen and comment. I'm glad you liked the tunes, and happy they brought back some good memories for you. :) Thanks again!
Love the pairing of these 2 tunes! I live fairly close to a town named Nonesuch....my husband was a substitute teacher in the elementary school there, about 40 years ago (closed now). Brings back some good memories. Thanks for sharing these with us!
Hi all! Thanks for your comments. Dusty - I don't actually "know" nearly as many tunes as it may appear. If I hadn't come across many of them again by looking through old tabs or music collections (or an old paper list of tune titles I once played) I would never remember many of these. :) John - I will go look for your version of Nonesuch. I used to play it on hammered dulcimer too! Fun tune. Thanks again all!
Brian, this tune was the the one that I played on HD in my first pub session, its been a favourite of mine ever since (also the unofficial anthem of our Nonsuch Dulcimer Club here in the UK) I posted a noter/drone version of it in Aug 2010, ?
You are like a machine, Brian, continuously putting out more and more great music. They say Leadbelly used to swap songs with other singers and bragged that he could play more than anyone. Long after his musical rivals had run out of material, he was still drinking and singingand hada seemingly endless repertoire. Are you related to him by any chance?
Cynthia and Lexie - thank you very much for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the tunes. :)
Great song, put a spring in my soul. Enjoy your playing Brian.
Fine tunes and fine playing Brian.
