While at the store I saw a little one of about 4 or 5 drop his candy on the floor. Apparently it wasn’t the first time that day and his Mom had had enough - she picked it up, threw it out and said “That’s it! There’ll be no more!” Well that poor little guy really took it to heart, but being in public, he was brave. While his lip quivered, no tears spilled over. But the look on his face! No one can feel the blues as deeply as a child who believes candy is gone from their life forever. This song is for you little man… Played on a Gold Tone Dulciborn tuned C-g-cc
I appreciate that Danny and Helen! Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I had some trouble with notifications so I hadn't seen your comments until now. I'm glad you liked it!
Thank you Samm! I really appreciate that!
Great to have you back rockin' along Babs!
I can understand that Ken - I think a lot of us have been there too. I posted this vid on Facebook and Tull Glazener wrote that his experience was with a gumball and his Mom made him spit it out then disinfect his mouth with Listerine! Now THAT is the feeling Blues, eh? Thank you for your kind words, Ken. I greatly appreciate your support!
Once again, Gal, your astound me with your groovy playing. But I had mixed emotions. I was that little kid in your story and almost had a flashback..
Thanks a bunch Ron and Lexie!!!
Love how you write and play about Big things to little people.
Will enjoy hearing your second version.
I'm posting two versions of this song - this one played on the Dulciborn and the other played on a McSpadden Baritone. I thought it might do a better job of answering some questions that I've received about the Dulciborn. I guess it's all a matter of what resonates best with the player, right?
