Sharing the stage at Evart, MI ODPC Funfest with Bing Futch and Jason Yanity. What a blast that was! Thank you Ken Kaiser for videoing and posting this thrilling memory! (Vida Negra/Black Widow)
Thank you so much Steve! No worries about our bushy tail pals, I will always remember and appreciate that little guy who stopped and listened for a spell.
Thank you so much Greg and Helen! I sure hope so Helen. I'm trying to get all of the experience I can between now and then so I don't embarrass Bing or Jason.
Ken, you and my FotMD friends have been instrumental in getting me out there. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all of your support and encouragement. While I appreciated my squirrel, people are so much more fun!
Thank you Lexie - it was incredibly fun playing with Bing and Jason! BTW - I hit Jason with "Black Mountain Rag" at the Midland festival a couple of weeks ago...he's so incredibly good that he had no problem fitting his Irish Bodhran in with my swingy, raggy spin. Yep - that was a blast (and maybe a contender for next year)!
Hi ya, Chris. I am so happy for your and your progress. And the chance to play with those great musicians. This is a long way from last summer when your first audience was a squirrel.
This is one of the songs from my set at the Evart ODPC FunFest last July. I asked Bing Futch to sit in with me - on percussion! He’s such a nice guy (and as we all know, very talented!) he said yes and borrowed a Cajon to help me out. That is Jason Yanity on Bodhran, , another very talented percussionist. It was so much fun to play with these exceptional musicians! And even better, I was invited back to perform on next year’s night stage (to an audience of 700 to 1000 people - yikes!). Both Bing and Jason offered to back me up then too - needless to say, I accepted that offer!!!

This is great Christine.Im so happy for you.
I hope it doesn't go to your head though. Squirrels need music too!!

Bravo, Chris! Rock on!
