What a beautiful instrument and what a wonderful story....Mike makes beautiful instruments, but how nice to have one with such a special story behind it!
Very neat story, Cindy! That's a beautiful banjammer. I just got my Clemmer MDlast Thursday-posted photo on FOTMD. It's really nice. Check out the sound holes! Have a nice day.
Great story Cindy. If you don't get out there and mix it up nothing ever happens huh?

There is quite a story behind my banjammer. Some years ago, I had noticed a really nice motorcycle around town. The bike and the rider made an impression on me. The group that I played with (Misty Mountain) used to meet in Laporte Indiana (an hour from home) to practice once a week before the Osceola Bluegrass festival. We would practice on Tuesdays in the bank parking lot (after hours) and then go have ice cream and play (open mic) at Temple News (an old fashioned ice cream parlor). Well, I saw the bike outside - and then the man and his wife inside enjoying the music and some ice cream. I had to say something. The bike was neat, but the people were wonderful! We hit it off immediately! They promised to see us at the festival (they live close). A very close friendship had already started! This was in 2004 or 2005. In 2006, my friend Jack said he had something he had been saving for a long time, and would like to give it to me. It was a piece of Burmese Teak. I was very touched and wanted to do something extra special. After several conversations with Mike Clemmer, it was all set - I would send it to Mike, and he would build a banjammer out of it. My Clemmer Banjammer made from the Burmese Teak that my friend Jack gave me was done in June 2006. What a special gift it is - and I have an awesome friendship with Jack and Gloria - all because I happened to recognize his bike in a little town an hour away!
