I'll try try to get back with the owner and will shoot some more photos. I can get precise measurements down to .001" with a dial caliper. Others are somewhat interested in this one as well so they will benefit from the info.
Meanwhile, List any photo angle and any other measurements. I may have an inspection mirror to look inside, so I'll try to see about a sound post. And I do have a macro lens.
There was a question about it being a 3 or 4 string dulcimer and it the 4th hole was for a tuning peg or just a hole. I'll take some wood and my peg shaver and see if it is tapered if the owner will remove the yarn.

That's a very thin bridge insert - what's it made from?
The top looks quite thick?
It looks like a piece of home wound piano wire string left on the end screw? Can you measure the gauge?
Could you get the gauge of the wire the raised staple is made from?
