All in a Garden Green/Lady Gethin medley

musician/member name: Dusty T
Duration: 00:02:25
A little vacation from work allowed me to record a short video. I pair the English country dance "All in a Garden Green" with Turlough O'Carolan's "Lady Gethin" and play a mountain dulcimer made of cherry and redwood by Terry McCafferty.

Thanks, @davisjames.  I have a webcam on a gooseneck mount that clamps to the table in front of me and can be adjusted to get the perfect angle.  Then I flip the image digitally so you get the "player's" view.  That way everyone has perfect "riff-stealing" seats.

I'll have to check, @susan-mackenzie, but I'm pretty sure I have tab for both of these tunes since I think I offered them at one of my monthly online gatherings.  Contact me at River City Dulcimers .

Very pretty tunes! Would you have tablature for these, please? Time well spent!

Lovely tunes and playing.Also-that's a great idea, mounting whatever device you use on high so one can see the fingering when recording.

Thanks for listening, @hobbyhorse, @cindy-stammich, and @macaodha.

On the O'Carolan tune I had to cheat a bit and jump an octave for the first couple of measures of the B part.  The tune calls for a note that can only be found on the 6+ fret of the middle string in a 1-5-8 tuning, but the rest of that part would have been way too high up the fretboard for my comfort, so I jumped up an octave only for those two measures.  If no one noticed, then I guess it works!

Enjoyed these two tunes very much Dusty.

Thanks so much, @robin-thompson and @studentofrhythm.  I appreciate your listening and taking the time to comment.

I should have mentioned that the first tune is included in the first (1651) edition of John Playford's The English Dancing Master.
