Because the music stand is not that close, I always make a larger print of tabs or words so they can be seen by me in the distance. I try not to fully depend on the music but it helps to have it for reassurance. My ultimate goal is to put some feeling into the music I am sharing and I find that if I am too dependent on reading the music that defeats that goal.
