Thanks Joy. I was able to put the song into CGC. I have a new McSpadden Walnut and Redwood that works particularly well in this tuning. Thanks also for suggestiing the Linda Ronstadt and DollyParton recording. John
Hi Joy. Kathy and I are still toughing it out here in Silver Springs, Florida. Time to start getting ready for Evart. I just left a comment on the main page regarding the music we'll be playing at the Evert Funfest preshow with Annette Lindsey. The tab can be downloaded at http://www.dulcimers.com/Annettesmusic/index.html . Please pass on to anyone who might go and would like to have the music ahead of time. Mike
Hi Joy. Glad to see you at Evart. Kathy and I will be at Midland again as well. Sorry I didn't reply earlier, but I just found out that there's a group for Michigan MD players on this web site. Michigan MD players! Who'd a thunk??? I left Springfield, Illinois a year ago where I had several MD players to jam with within a 20 mile radius, and 2 MD groups. Things have been kinda sparse for me in the Flint area. Kathy and I have been playing where we can. Lately, it's been at a local farmer's market for 4 hours once a week. Hope all is well. Take care and hope to see you again at Midland.
Joy, I think that I omitted to make comment when I replied to your 'friend' request, thank you for that incidentaly! I see that you are in the noter drone group, be good to see you post something using a noter, but not while you are sat cross legged on the floor!
Hello, Joy! Thanks for "friending" me and for your nice comment. Your blog tells of the journey that so many of us are on. I can identify with your discouragement and frustration. It just takes a while for everything to click. Chipping away slowly is good. Try setting small goals each time you sit down to practice, but be sure to mix in some things that you enjoy playing to reward yourself too!

Hi Joy, Thanks for your response. I am glad you told me about the 11/2 fret for that helps me to know why
I couldn't do some of the things you were doing. I am interested in your tuning which as I follow you with my
guitar seems to be in the key of A so I would like to know what your open strings are tuned to. I love your
strumming technique too. Thanks for your music. John.
Hi Joy, are you heading for Evart this year? Playing in the MD pre-show?
