Dick, your are correct that I need a better picture. I have intended to take another picture, but, alas, other things have taken priority. I will try to get a better picture of the Thomas posted soon. I do have a picture from Mountain Dulcimer Week at SU this year with my zitter, the Thomas and some of Ralph's dulcimers. I can't remember which ones at the moment. I'll find it on my hard drive and post it as well.

Since there is not a complete 1:1 correlation between FOTMD and ED participants, I thought it might be useful to link the earlier thread (on ED) that gave more details about Ken's J.E. Thomas dulcimer... such as its date (1931).http://everythingdulcimer.com/discuss/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=20575 Ken, sometime when you are at an event with Ralph, could you take a photo or two with your Thomas and Ralph's Prichard, side by side? I think that would highlight their differences ("sloping shoulders," size, heart shape and whatnot) a little better than the prose narratives to which we are accustomed.I'd also like to see a Thomas, an Amburgey, and an earlyish Ledford, all in a row. I can provide the Ledford, if you want to come see us in VA. Don't know who has an Amburgey, around here. Ralph may. Also, please focus your camera... autofocus may not work in low light. Or if you don't depress the button part way to engage it, before you snap. Or if your glasses are strong and you are looking through an SLR type system. Anyway, something is amiss, with this picture.Dick
