The Bells of Aberdovey - Sow Hogfiddle - 27 Apr 17

Artist: Robin Clark
Genre: Folk & Singer-Songwriter
Duration: 00:02:00

We learnt this tune at choir practice last night as part of the Fantasia on Famous Welsh Airs a male voice choir arrangement by Mansel Thomas. The tune itself however was written in 1785 by Charles Dibdin. I thought I'd have a go at learning it on dulcimer today and have recorded it here on my Bobby Ratliff Sow Hogfiddle (which rings like a bell !!!). I've added some extra drones to fill out the mix a little.

I listen to all your songs on the 'sound cloud' but couldn't leave you a message, sorry. I enjoyed all the different dulcimers & sounds, thanks

The combination of Bobby's hogfiddle, the leather pick and your playing was wonderful!

Very nice, Robin! Reminds me of my days hitch-hiking in Wales back in 1972.
