Thanks Dusty,

I recorded and uploaded this track about 4 years ago.  I can't remember exactly how I constructed the piece but I think I played it on my cherry McSpadden in B',B, A tuning (the bass string being an octave lower than the middle string) using a leather pick.  Because I don't fret the bass or middle strings when I play I can get away with quite a wide range of tunings and run the bass quite slack.

Regarding the beginning and the end, sometimes I get so wrapped up in my playing that these ideas just sort of emerge!  I'm sure you've been in exactly the same place at times with your dulcimers.

This is phenomenal, Robin.  You really manage to both catch the haunting sound of these ancient tones and also offer some hot licks.  Are you EBB?

I just learned this tune, but it is clear you "know" it much better than I. And that lick you throw in the beginning and end has a real sitar quality to it.
