The tallest one was about 8". :) We eat bottle brushes here. Doesn't everybody?!?
Tiny bottle brushes
Robin, I'm curious- do the stems taste really good too, or is it only the tops that are eaten?(when I make soups with fresh shitake, I often discard a good part of of the stems that are too woody to be enjoyable.)
@Strumelia For the price hunters fetch by selling to high-end restaurants, a plane ticket to eat some for free might not seem as far-fetched as it sounds. (Can't say that I know a per-pound price yet am sure they're not cheap.)
@Cindy-Stammich Mark & I have had morels four times already this Spring so a couple of these big ones are going to my mom today and the rest I may dry. Dried, they keep well in a glass jar with the lid on tight.
(looking up air flights that could get me to your house in time for dinner)....
2 of my favorite things in the whole world!
Dulcimers and Mushrooms....
Not in any particular order!
Thank you for the smiles!!!
