Ohio's Icebox on mountain dulcimer and guitar

Artist: Robin & Mark Thompson
Genre: Folk & Singer-Songwriter
Duration: 00:01:25

Description:
On 10 February 1899, the coldest temperature ever recorded in Ohio was registered at Milligan in Perry County. I can only imagine how brutal conditions must have been. . . On a historical marker where the village once was, Milligan is referred to as "Ohio's Icebox". For this tune, the title came before the tune itself. Our old dog wanted to get in on the recording. :)

@Dusty-Turtle Thanks!  It might always be WIP.  I've been thinking further on the tune-- no huge changes, I think, though.  Variations on the B part, especially.

@Steven-Berger Thank you!  A duet by Ariel & Rusty would be possible through the marvels of technology.

I like this! And your dog sounds just like my dog, Rusty (the intrepid Red Texas Non-Retriever)!dog1

The dog's clearly warning you about the cold!

Very nice tune, Robin, with some changes of mood.  Faster parts with some syncopation and other slower, more meditative parts.  Really nice.

When will this cease to be a WIP?
