Description:

The mountain dulcimer is tuned to D drones (including a wound bass) with the melody string tuned to G. Over the years, we've put in a lot of miles on foot or (long time ago) on bicycles going down Walnut Hill and out to the end of Main Street until it turns into "the hollow". The other day, we walked to the end of the hollow and temperatures were around 60F. Yesterday, we only walked part-way on the route because temperatures had fallen drastically and the wind was bitterly cold. Oh, and a tree had fallen across the road yet we turned around before getting to the tree-- it was just so cold! We wish you all lots of happy strumming, good health, much joy in the coming new year!
