I took a pick I didn't like and glued a thin piece of a leather belt on one side, cutting to fit. Love the sound but on some of the picks I made, they sound better on the other side than the leather side. Interesting a 2 tone pick.

Hi Marg

im pretty sure this is the same dulcimer I used as on Water is Wide. On WiW I used a homemade plastic pick which give a very diffeeent sound

i bought my leather picks on line. I think Uke players sometimes use leather picks?

ic you can't find any let me know and I'll find the link I used

I have 4 MDs a McSpadden( used in both clips) red kite an Ed Thomas repro by John knopft and one by current and brown

Thanks for listening and for your comments

(I'm using a leather pick)

Can you find them or did you make one? I would like to try one, doesn't have the pick sound even strumming hard. Nice going.

How many dulcimers do you have, this one sounds different than the one you played 'The Water is Wide'
