Mark Gilston plays a Russian tune from WWI he learned as a child on mountain dulcimer. The tune was written in 1915 (or earlier) as "March of the Siberian Soldiers" ( Марш сибирских стрелков ) but was adapted with new lyrics for the Russian Revolution. The tune has been used for political songs in many different countries and languages including Ukrainian, Serbo-Croatian, Hebrew, French, Greek, German, Hungarian and Kurdish.
