May I introduce "Fee" who arrived today, jigdoll no. 51 handmade by mountain dulcimer and banjo player Banjo Dai from the UK.
He made her for me as a thank-you gift in the name of all participants of the Advent Calendar 2019 - isn't that lovely!
Yes, all the jig dolls from Banjo Dai (that I have seen so far) are chicken : )
His wife decorates them with love for every little detail.
He likes to get the name of the jigdoll from the future owner - this seems to inspire him before building it.
Soon he will have his website ready so that you can see all the jigdolls he has made so far but you can already see them on posts on his facebook site called "Banjo Dai".
Nice to hear from you again, personally i would have given it a mouth to smile, but thats up to you
And the hat looks like on Banjo Dai wears. :) So cool!
What a sweet gift!
Aw that is the sweetest thing they did for all of us!

That is just delightful! She looks like a bird, with a beak?
I find it interesting that in Europe and the UK these are usually called jig dolls, while in the US we tend to call them limberjacks.
"Fee" is sweet!!
