Hi again Lesley,I did go have a look at your dulcimer and she looks beautiful! Enjoy. :)By the way - I think you're doing it right by wanting to play every day while working on your PhD. I had stopped playing pretty much completely while working through my own joint PhD program (molecular genetics and microbiology) thinking I had no time. I now realize how stupid that was; I should have made the time for it. So what are you studying? And thank you again for the very kind words. I'm glad you've enjoyed the tunes. :)
Welcome to the site, and to the wonderful mountain dulcimer! Thank you very much for taking the time to write your introduction and your kind words about my playing. I have no doubt that you will love it as much as I do. I hope you will post photos of your new dulcimer once it arrives, and some videos of your playing as well. And if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me or any of the wonderful people on this site; we're mostly a pretty friendly bunch, and if we don't know the answer to your question, I'll make one up for you. :) Seriously, thank you again, and welcome. You're going to love the dulcimer.
Hi Nancy! Thanks for your comments. Mango doesn't talk or sing yet, but he is trained to turn around in circles on command, to roll over on command, and to give kisses on command, sometimes (but not always) accompanied by scarily human-sounding smooching noises. :)
Hi all! Once again, thank you for listening and for your comments. I (we) appreciate both. I think Mango has a thing for the dulcimer; he likes sitting up there while I play. :)
Brian, excellent as usual even with Mango . I think he would like to try playing the dulcimer too. Might be a little hard for him but looks like he can pick the strings . He's a beautiful bird. Thanks for sharing!
our sun conures should meet..mine is named Fabio. Eventually Mango will make it difficult to record, mine is a screacher. Mango looks like a real sweetie.

Mango is so sweet! Well...and you're playing was pretty good too although I couldn't take my eyes off Mango. :)

Brian, you're a musician and Mango's going for laughs! As always, lovely play.
JK, I wouldn't harm the bird . Brian, if Mango decides to molt some feathers let me know, LOL .
Hi all! Thanks again for your kind (and amusing) comments. Much appreciated. And Mango says hi. :)
Nicely done BG! Keep the bird away from Patty...just sayin'...

RN, Dusty - thanks for your comments (yes, Dusty, I laughed out loud). :)
Nice, patient playing, Brian. Cute bird, too. You're really "flying" over that fretboardand making that dulcimer "sing."
Very good Brian & Mango. Liked that tune too
