A square dance tune by Ward Allen.He also wrote the Canadian standard"Maple Sugar"...For once it's in the original fiddle key[D,G].I restrung the teardrop to Ddd just to be able to do this...It just didn't sit well in any other key.
Thanks Robin.Except for some recording virtuousos,fiddling and dancing(in Canada) was slower,more relaxed in the 50's and 60's.The first recording of "Maple Sugar" by Ward Allen is at a very moderate tempo.
