Thanks, Guy, for your comments. I know my playing pales in comparison to yours, but I appreciate your encouragement.

Thanks so much, Sue. I strongly recommend Nina Zanetti's version. Mine is but an amateur imitation.

Hi Anna. One star for every month you've had the dulcimer? I hope you enjoy playing as much as I do. Thanks for your compliments.

I'm so envious that you've been able to attend festivals. Last summer I went to the Redwood Dulcimer Day in the hills above Santa Cruz, but other than that one day, my own dulcimer is the only "live" dulcimer I've ever heard. This summer I'll be out-of-town and can't make the Redwood Dulcimer Day, but hopefully I'll attend a dulcimer gathering in Yreka up along the Cal/Oregon border in early August. I'm sure if I were in your neck of the proverbial woods I'd have attended a bunch of festivals by now.If you check out my first video, "Medley for Bing," you will see my versions of Black Mountatin Rag and Rosin the Beau, both of which I learned from Bing Futch videos on YouTube.

Hey Mark. My dulcimer "revelation" occured on YouTube. A recreational guitar player, I was looking for variations of fiddle tunes and discovered Stephen Seifert playing "Whiskey Before Breakfast" on the dulcimer. My jaw dropped and I was obsessed with dulcimers for a few months until I finally got my own just a year ago. About a month ago I joined the online dulcimer club on Paltalk and heard Nina Zanetti play. I fell in lovewith her soft but precise styling and the emotion she elicits from the instrument. I contacted her immediately afterwards, bought her CD, and began to work on Annie Laurie. She also has two or three other tabs available either on her website or on Everything Dulcimer. What brought you to the dulcimer? What music have you been working on?

Thanks, Mark. I guess we're both celebrating anniversaries. Congratulations! I would have played Annie Laurie a second time around but I was afraid I'd mess it up. I was just happy enough to get through that B part once with no major flubs.
