That was nice Gordon.

I actually played this song for my senior group this week.  I didn't even attempt to sing it.  I can't pretend to have your voice.

I printed and enlarged the words and requested they sing.  Heavenly.

Thanks for posting.

I'd like to hear you play it Terry, better yet I'd like to hear you sing it while you're playing! Best to you.

Gordon, I love playing this song real slow, with an amp.  Gently stroking 1 & 2 & 3 finger chords, making sure to let each stroke play out.

As for singing, afraid not.  No point in ruining a perfectly wonderful song.  I have figured out that I need to stick to singing fun songs, where I can be silly.  Silly covers up a multitude of bad notes.  To busy laughing. byebye

Very nice Gordon, and a bit tough to sing too. I haven't been playing this one because it's annoying in DAd - I never thought of playing it noter/drone, so now I will add it back. Thanks for posting.

Thank you Cynthia, it is a bit tough to sing to. I almost have to stand on a piece of stove wood to reach the high notes but what the hey, I'm usually up for a challenge.

Beautiful Gordon.

I just watched a biography on Fanny Crosby, she was quite the special teacher for blind children. It is amazing how many hymns she wrote and her calling to God. It is wonderful we still sing and play her hymns today.

Thanks Lexie, yes Fanny Crosby was a prolific hymn writer during what I think of as the "Golden Age" of Protestant hymn writing. Depending on who wrote the music for her lyrics, most of her hymns are very easy to sing. I can say that she is a blessing to me.
