Thank you, Greg & Salt for the information!

Though lots of people would not think of Ohio as any kind of a mountain dulcimer hotbed, it really has been through the years.

I believe
Carl Gotzmer  may have built dulcimers for Musical Traditions long ago.  In 1987 he and his wife, Cathleen, founded June Apple dulcimers.  They are great instruments too!  (I have several)........Check out Carl's biography.........he is quite a fellow and his instruments are precision creations.......aside from building dulcimers you would not believe this man's credentials......a research physicist no less and a great guy to work with too!

Hello Robin, glad your enjoying my Hummel, my first Dulcimer said in a branded circle "Musical Traditions" surrounding "NYC". Later on I've seen others by the same company without the NYC as the company moved out of New York City.

Oh, I love this, Greg!  The hummel sounds so fine for playin a hymn, especially a Wesley hymn.

PS- Your writing about where you bought your first dulcimer has me wondering who was the maker.
