How lovely and how gently sung and played! I like the way you play harmony with your vocals. Now is indeed a needed time. And I very much like your 4th verse.
Hey, you once mentioned my song based on Innisfree (I Will Arise and Go Now) - it's on my youtube channel if you want access to it. I'm trying not to pile on too many songs here on fotmd after having quit this site and am now reuniting.
Thanks to all who have given a listen and for your kind comments. I do have a correction and some additional comments to make. It is Maureen Sellers book and not Helen Sellers where I discovered this song. I must have been thinking of Helen Keller when I wrote this hastily. Notice that in the accompaniment that there is some harmony built in. I remember reading how, Jean Ritchie, often played a harmony to accompany her singing. Maureen's book gave me some good suggestions as to what the harmony could be. I'll be singing this song on Ash Wednesday, March Ist in my daughter's church. She was kind enough to do the video and you might say that this was a rehearsal. My dulcimer students are also watching this video so they can play it too.
John, Thank you for sharing this beautiful hymn!
I love the soft prayerful tone, and there is sooooo much truth in it!
Thank you Mary for your comments.

Thank you Jennifer. I found your group's video " Fly Around My Pretty Little Miss" to be very entertaining and delightful!
A beautiful spiritual. Thank you for sharing this video.
