I call this dulcimer Swanny for obvious reasons. Found it in an antique store in southwestern Michigan near the Indiana border. I'd love to know more about who made it so I'm showing the various places the builder put a logo/signature.
Not only does it look lovely yet very homemade, but it has a beautiful tone. It's been my go-to for my historic storytelling because it definitely doesn't look like something from a factory. My husband quibbles about the finish, but I wouldn't dream of letting him touch it.

OH WOW...how does this swanny sound? Made very unusually. Surely you'll be playing "way down upon the Swanny River...." aloha, irene
