Mark Gilston plays a well known 17th century English tune on mountain dulcimer.
Lilliburlero began life in 1661as a song of good cheer, but shortly thereafter, in 1688, the tune was used for an anti-Catholic political parody, and it became immensely popular. Subsequently it has been used for numerous songs and ballads as well as a military march and an English country dance.
