Yippee! Tomorrow I will be hosting the 1. Mountain Dulcimer Meeting at my house - I am already very excited.
Compared to the meetings in the USA we will be a micro dwarf group of 4 musicians.
Thank you very much, Ron - we are very happy that you like it. I must admit that Suo Gan was a new tune for me and I just realized some time later that it is a Welsh lullaby - next time we surely will record it much slower so that a child could easily find its sleep while hearing it... on the other hand it could be used as a happy wake up tune this way
I just listened to the tunes you posted on SoundCloud from that meeting. Wow! You all sounded great! Thanks for using my arrangement of Coleman's March. That was wonderful! Also, I never heard Suo Gam plays that fast. I used to have that song on a CD of lullabies that I played for my son when he was a baby. Of course, it was a lot slower on the CD. I'm not sure how fast it's supposed to be.
@Marcel - you are very welcome to join our next meeting - it will take place on August 31, 2019 in Reichelsheim, Hesse, Germany. I will also send you a PN : )
Thank you ALL so very much for your wishes, comments and kind interest. Dulcimer players are really a great and VERY kind community! We had a wonderful music day yesterday
Great to see people organize meetings like yours. Reichelsheim is not that far from my place. 4 hour drive. Never heard of a meeting in the Netherlands.
The small acorn grows into the mighty oak tree, Ariane. No group is too small to start out. I hope you guys have lots of fun. This could be the start of something long-lasting.

Bärentanz, Coasts of High Barbary, Emma's Waltz, Im Märzen der Bauer, Es tönen die Lieder, Gr ey cat on a Tennessee Farm, June Apple, Männer mit Bärten, Nutfactory Shuffle, Oh Susanna, Old Joe Clark, Psalm 31, Red is the Rose, Shady Grove, Star of the County down, Un Canadien Errant, Whiskey Before Breakfast...
