Hi Ron! I sure enjoyed meeting you and Jeff and I'm glad you came back for the jam...I just wish you would have brought your dulcimer and played with us. Next time, maybe?
Hi Marg! Yes, I use my thumb a lot and yes, somedays it hurts. The right side of my nail is worn away and I have two most likely permanent grooves from the strings. I'm still adjusting to the re-fret but I'm sure it will become more comfortable eventually. I hope sooner than later! So, you only need a sweater during the winter in Texas? Wow - I'm happy for you but just a tad jealous. My winter attire requires a bit more than that. About 15lbs of extra clothing. Ha! Of course when summer comes, which last about 2-3 weeks , then shorts and a tanktop feel like too much. Go figure! I appreciate the compliment, Marg - thank you!
Thank you so much everyone! Steven, I will bump that up on my to-do list for you. You are too sweet Helen! Thanks for all of the encouragement! No paid gigs yet, but I have some pretty big news on that front which I'll post a little later. (I guess that would be considered a "teaser", eh? Ha-ha!) Joy, I am real happy that you understand the energy thing. As to the head bobbing, it helps me to keep time but still be in the moment, but you already knew that, right Frank?
As always, great playing and love seeing the dulciborn. You use you thumbs a good bit, does it ever hurt from freting. I'm having trouble with mine, like when you text - sore thumbs.
I don't think it's fair you have such a cold winter to end up with hot summer days. i'm in tx. so yes i'ts hot but winter here mostly is just a vest or sweater. The mornings and evenings are usually beautiful here, it's just the middle of the day you need to watch out for the heat.
Another winner! You have great energy when you play Chris, and it shows. By the way, I had the same question as Ken about the ice pack when I watched your captions. HA!
Thanks so much Ken! Do you really think I'm ready for that step? I'm not so sure. I'm glad you think the hair was okay. Ha! The ice pack? Yes, I really was sitting on it. While I was playing I did not even notice it there, but when I was done, well, as I told Lexie - that's when I realized I should have used a towel! Hey, I'm happy that you had such an exciting vacation, and I'm just as happy to have you back home safe and sound!
Thanks Lexie! Yes, the icepack seemed like a good idea at the time and it did help...but next time I'll wrap it in a towel first. As it turns out, the darn things sweat and you end up with a wet seat! Live and learn, right?
Absolutly fantastic, Chris. I think it is now time for you to form your own band and promote yourself. Now on the practical side... your hair did just fine, and are really sitting on an ice pack while you are playing

Always like your videos. Like the way you zone into the tune with the head bobbing. Thanks for posting.

Your terrific Chris! I had fun with you and sitting on ice helps.
