My new Folkcraft Baritone - Part one. ;-) For my dulcimer friends, there is no tone shaping or EQ on this video so that you can get an idea of the actual sound. (Although my phone's mic really doesn't do it justice.) "Leaving Lismore" dulcimer arrangement by Annette Lindsey, performed by Christine Shoemaker.
That is so kind of you and very much appreciated - thank you, Ariane!!!
That is fantastic - the sound is so beautiful and the chance to see you playing this lovely arrangement is great.
Thank you, Marg! I really appreciate that!
Nice new Folkcraft and playing, enjoyed watching your strumming.
You are a very kind (and busy!) fella, Salt-Springs - thank you!!! I'm glad to hear that you are going to reconnect with your baritone.
Thank you so much, Benjamin!
Oh, Christine, that is simply lovely.
Christine............after a really long day on the road and seemingly endless loading and unloading of stuff for a couple of feeding stations for kids out of school I came home and found this great video and tune...........I will be getting my old Baritone out this week and giving that tune a whirl............and yup, Richard and Jim at FC have always been great to work with.........your music really is a blessing to an old goat like me........a perfect ending for the day.
I know what you mean I have been waiting for my Rockwell baritone..should be ready any day now.
I am glad you like it Monica. It was a long time in the making but well worth the wait, I think.
Hi Dusty! Thanks so much! Yes, the stand...it is made by Gary Sager of Prussia Valley. He does a great job on these. He makes them completely adjustable so that they can fit almost any dulcimer. Don't you teach in a group setting at times, Dusty? If so, this would be perfect for you. High enough and angled so that your students could see your moves.
Thank you, Aaron. That is very kind of you!
Thank you very much Steven and Brian! I appreciate you watching!
Very nice Christine!
Beautiful playing, beautiful dulcimer, Christine!
Steven
What a Gorgeous instrument!!
Very expressive playing, Christine. I like the way you mix some bare fingers with the flatpick. And a nice dulcimer, too!
What kind of stand is that? It looks perfect for dulcimers.
Nice tune and great playing, Chris.
