My dog brought me this tune. Toffee is a shelter rescue and even though it's been 10 years now, she has not gotten over the fear of starving. I assure you, she gets PLENTY! As a matter of fact, she was fed immediately after this vid even though dinnertime was still over an hour away. Sheesh - I am such a pushover for that sweet old face!
Hello Tumbleweed! Thank you so much! I hope you are well and that your Thanksgiving was wonderful.
Hi C.S.
Another awesome video.
Thanks a million, Mary! She really is a very good girl. I love it when someone besides me sees that! When I first got her, people would tell me that she's not trainable and I should return her. I saw something else - fear aggression. With lots of love, she overcame it. The only things she can't shake is the fear of not getting enough food, and she is still head shy. So she has trained me to approach her palms up and under the chin.
It's a dog-gone good thing you recorded this awesome dog-hungry blues cuz it is a real pleasure! Toffee is adorable standing there next to, and behind you! What a good girl.
Thanks so much Brian and Tom! Sounds like your cats and my dog speak the same language, Tom. Lol! The tuning is A-e-a. I am not certain on the key but sometimes I play with a Bluesharp musician - he tells me this one is in the key of G and using a Low D harp (the lowest they make commercially, he says) pairs very well. Whatever that means.
Really nice! My cats can probably relate, too.
Could you tell us about the tuning and key you are using?
Loved it!
In my book, that waggling tail counted, Benjamin. She had a very fine dinner, indeed! Lol!
Well, she thought it was suppertime...you know, singing (or playing) for your supper! She wagged her tail.
Thank you, Robin! Toffee has always been the star of this duo, as it should be! :-) And thanks so much my fellow pushover, Selah!!! We are very happy that you enjoyed it. Toffee says thank you for the hug!
Hi Lexie! Thank you, my friend. Lately, Toffs has taken a liking to the Blues. Lucky for me, right?! Her and I have pretty much been tied at the hip since the beginning. But now more than ever. I appreciate every moment I have with her, even if it's just time spent trying to convince her that it's not time to eat again. Since she hasn't been feeling well, her stomach has taken on a schedule entirely of it's own design. We're working on it!
Much appreciated, Salt-Springs! Boy, you sure have your hands full! As an animal lover, I would like to thank you for all that you do down there in the sticks. I'm very glad the menagerie has you to depend on!
You & Toffee are a great duo, Christine!
Just loved everything about this vid, Christine! Being a nature and animal lover (and also a pushover) and a lover of jazz and blues.... enjoyed this so much! Give that precious girl an extra hug for me! Thanks! ~ Selah
Great tune Chris!
Seems that Toffy loves the song, and knows what's coming soon after the music.
Toffy is beautiful and there are no better than rescue pets!
CS...that is a great tune and the 4 legged metronome is a great addition! I think I am running a rescue out here in the sticks.......after ye old hurricane we have managed to acquire 15 cats (10 kittens) in addition to the three hounds I already have. Two of the hounds were rescues...the beagle was left tied to a tree out here in the woods, the Blue Tick I grabbed before she was to be euthanized and the big old Plott my purchase. I also caught a very small bear looking for some chow about five nights ago so I guess he or she is part of the menagerie as well, since he or she is around every night or early morning.....the scamp will move on before long.
Anyway, a great job and a well done to ya and "Ms. T"...I'm groov'n.
