The evergreens are white spruce which are native to this region although transplanted to my windbreak some 40 years ago. The deciduous trees are Griffin Poplar, a domestic species very popular throughout the Canadian Prairies and the smaller shrubby plant in front is an unpruned Mayday tree, a domestic species related to the chokecherry.
