This is an Irish Set dance. I've heard many versions, but I like that this one resolves to the Lydian mode. Dulcimer is by Yocky (Butternut with spruce soundboard and Zebrawood sides).

I would call Dale and ask him. Tell him I referred you. I know he's been trying to keep the wait times very reasonable. But it also gives you time to save up. It's worth the wait I promise!

I agree! I have some that need to be sold. Haven't sound the ultimate one yet. Maybe Aeolus. Wonder what the wait time is these days. Have to sell others and save my pennies!!

Hi Cheryl. After I got my Aeolus, I found I was playing my others less. I've started selling them so they have good homes and aren't stuck in a case all the (poor things). I sold the Yockey a couple years ago and it found an excellent home! I'm probably going to find a home for my Custom Folk Roots and my John Stockard too. I just think dulcimer should be played frequently or they are in the wrong place!

Do you still play your yocky? Which of your dulcimers is your favorite sound?

Thank You LMorris! I was out of town for a while, so I missed your nice comment. I've been playing for about 10 years or so.

Thank you John. That's very kind of you.Hi Teri, the only thing I know about it is that it is an Irish Set dance. I believe there is an actual dance that is traditionally done to this tune....

Very pretty song. What is the story behind it?

Thank you Rod!Cynthia, Ron Ewing is making a baritone for me. I don't know when it will be finished. I play primarily in 1-5-8 tuning. There are just certain dulcimers that seem to play certain songs better... plus I love to play them all :-) I also have a Jerry Rockwell on its way as well as an Aeolus. So I'd better get some new tunes ready!

Thank you so much, Cindi!!
