You made me laugh,regarding tuning...I do enjoy it(the scheitholt,8 strings) but the autoharp(a dulcimer with stoppers) is at least an hour endeavour and then it slips back to its former state(friction pegs)...I complain but it's a beautiful thing when everything hums and resonates....

There are exactly 81 strings! Hammered dulcimer: 69, mountain dulcimer: 4, Irish bouzouki: 8. Tuning instruments is one of my hobbies.
