Thanks. The origin of the song is most likely a 17th century glee, so it's quite appropriate to Purcell. It probably comes from one of the early catch and glee clubs of which Purcell was a member.
That makes me think of Henry Purcell,pre-baroque English composer.The dulcimer would'nt be out of place with a lot of that music...indeed,I think at that time[the 1600's] there was still a place for the droney element...really enjoyed your performance.
