Another mountain dulcimer & guitar tune we made up. :)
The mountain dulcimer's drones are tuned to C-sharps and the melody string is tuned to A. The guitar is capoed at fret 2.
@strumelia, Oh, they are so good! French Fingerling potatoes sliced and cooked in the wok with sliced onion from the garden (we just finished the last of the onions), toss in a few scrambled eggs, serve adding fresh basil, and a dollop of yogurt in the bowl before eating- yum!
Thanks, @strumelia Lisa! We haven't yet had frost on the ground but will soon. Mark's been working garden beds and getting cover crop planted. We had a good potato harvest this year so have been eating lots of potatoes over the past several weeks.
@davisjames Jamie, as you indicated, the term can have different connotations-- from allowing a field/soil to "rest" from being planted to soil which is not fertile/does not offer hospitable conditions for growing various seeds are a couple ways to think of the term. (Metaphorical usage of the term, too.) Whatever the tune calls to mind in the listener is the just the right way to think of the tune. We appreciate you listening and are appreciative of your comment!
@dusty I hope you had a nice lunch!
haha (Although I haven't had Spam in years, I liked it)
Thanks a bunch for listening and for the kind comment! This is a quiet tune and I really like the accompaniment Mark came up with.
I came here to hear some music, but after reading the comments, I think I'll have lunch now instead.
Gorgeous tune, Robin. You both play with such precision and patience.
Mmmm that sounds pretty good Robin!

Potatoes are far more nutritious than most people think. I bet your fresh home grown ones are super yummy!

Such a contemplative and plaintive tune, fitting for a bare and quiet landscape just before winter frosty comes.
