An original played on a McSpadden Baritone Mountain Dulcimer. This song is different from what I usually post. It’s the other side of my writing. Less high energy and more introspective. It’s about when you’re laying awake at night and things feel so large and heavy. Then sunrise comes. It brings a new day with a clean slate. It’s my most favorite time of the day! This one is for all of my Sunrise brethren. :-)
Discoverer, Salt Springs? Hmm...I think I like that! I enjoyed your story - very much! But even more...thank you for the lesson. I will take that with me.
Helen, I was concerned you wouldn't like this one as it's not my usual. I'm happy to see that you are okay with it! The pleasure is surly all mine, Joy. Thank you!
Coming from a sunset gal, then I take that as high praise indeed. Thank you Mary! That is so kind of you, Sam. I greatly appreciate it!
Thank you so much Robin! It's a small lake but I like it here. Although, I would have preferred it to be a little warmer when I was doing this one. 35 degrees and playing dulcimer are not a very good match! Brian and Dusty, I really appreciate you watching - thank you!
Calm, soothing, dramatic and powerful. You have it all going on.
You already know via Facebook that I love this piece. And now, having just watched your video again here, I also love the way the light is literally changing as you're playing. Thank you for capturing and sharing your sunrise, Christine.
Very beautiful. Thanks for sharing it Christine.
That's really pretty Christine. Nice job.
Salt Springs...sometimes you take my breath away! You write of things that matter greatly to me. Thank you so much!!! Would I be correct in thinking that you are a fellow seeker?
I am not sure that the word "Seeker', would be correct. I would say, that the term, "Discoverer" would be a better a fit for me and perhaps you as well. I would also say that faith, hope and charity are great gifts of the spirit and enable us to live in this world as the good Lord intended....as human beings.
A funny thing once happened to me. I was late leaving the house out here in the sticks where the closest town is 30 miles away. I spent 20 minutes looking for my glasses which at my age makes driving these roads so much better. Well, I looked everywhere I could think of and after offering up all sorts of invectives regarding my stupidity, ventured into the bathroom to see if I had left those miserable things there. Just as I walked in I hit the light switch, turned around and looking in the mirror noticed that I had them on.
CRS, Alzheimers, Part timers, what? None of those, just a lesson on how important it is to practice awareness and not go on a search looking for what we have been given. Faith, Hope and Charity are gifts granted us so that we might give those treasures away...often, in spite of our sometimes distorted vision.
Wow - that's a lovely tune played in a lovely setting Christine

I much appreciate you Lexie! Thanks so much!
Only those who dare to open the windows of the soul so that others may peer in and see the sparkle of the divine within all sentient creatures are fit to call themselves truly human. So do not think that emotion betrays one's weakness for that is an illusion wrought by the worldly mind. Rather, emotions revealed show to all who dare to acknowledge them and have enough courage to let others see them, a glimpse into a soul walking on the grand path towards self realization and union with the Divine.
Well done...................and thank you.
Hey Chris I don't want you to feel embarrassed about your expression to your music. It is a gift you share with us and I really enjoy it and love movin' along with you. Keep on showing us your joy of music. I love it!
That makes me very happy, Terry! Thank you!!!
Thank you, Lexie. I know that I am an emotional player and I'm kind of embarrassed about it. So I really appreciate the acknowledgment and your gift of support. It makes me feel that it's okay to show it.
Wow.......I loved it Christine.
So beautifully played, I enjoy seeing your emotion when you play. Very tranquil song loved it.
