My beautiful niece Madeline went home to be with Jesus at the tender age of 7. She was so full of life, love & spirit! Fast forward to August 3, 2010. Maddie...
Thank you Robin....for your thoughts and wisdom! I know Maddie will not be forgotten, but there is something comforting about sharing and remembering! There is something very special about sharing through music!

Cindy, as I thought about your posting of fearing Maddie would be forgotten, this came to mind: When I was a child, two children I knew who were my own age died-- Larry died when we were five and Rhonda died when we were twelve. Though, naturally, memories change and even dim over time, I am in my mid- fifties and have never forgotten them.I write this to let you know Maddie will not be forgotten by those whose lives she touched.

Although memories of loved ones can fade over time, our love for them-- a love that's known in the heart more than the mind-- remains. Your tribute to Maddie is beautifully, lovingly played, Cindy.
Cindy - Your song and picture and descriptions of Maddie have certainly caused me to do some introspection over the last week of listening. Thanks for sharing your video with us.

Thank you for the kind words Mary! Maddie was so full of life. We wonder who she would have become. I love to share her song. It is comforting and does my heart good!
I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful comments, and again for sharing something that is so very close and dear to my heart.
Marg - yes I believe our loved ones look down and smile on our music!
Jan - The song that Maddie loved so much was know as "I Danced in the Morning". I do believe that the melody is either very close or possibly is the "Lord of the Dance". Maddie was full of life and she not only loved this song, but it is her
Edward- I hope and pray all is well with your niece!
I just read something like 'Music in the soul can be hear by the universe' I'm sure Madeline as all our love onesare tuned in when we play or make sweet sounds.
Is this "Lord of the Dance"? I know it's a lot like Simple Gifts, but different. This was beautifully played and such a loving tribute to your niece! Thank you for sharing it with your FOTMD family!
Well, I haven't figured out how to reply to each of you, so will just post a comment here.
I want to thank each of you for listening and letting me share my thoughts and music for Maddie.
One thing that is so hard is the fear that Maddie will be forgotten. This is my small way to help share her beautiful little life and keep her memory alive. I promised my sister that I would always play this and share it whenever I could. Thank you again - you certainly are the most wonderful group of people and I feel very blessed to be a part!
What a lovely tribute, Cindy. Maddie was about the age my daughter is now. I can't imagine what your family must have gone through. Thanks so much for sharing this touching tribute. May music continue to give you comfort as you keep Maddie's memory alive.

I decided to share this video, although it was recorded several years ago. I recorded it on my Blue Lion.
