Festival Hat
Recently I wondered what I could do with my dulcimer pins. After rejecting the idea of putting them in a shadowbox I stuck them to my Panama hat and it seems like it's not a bad idea. Now I can look appropriately dulcimery geeky at the next festival.

Strumming w/ credit card or membership card. 26 May 1973 Dennis Ahern married Lyrl Peterson. Bride made dress, groom's pants, shirt and vest. Groom made a pair of dulcimers on which a duet of "Simple Gifts" was played during the ceremony.

Saturday Karen and I spent a day with Dulcimore Dan discussing the finer points of noter drone playing at the Museum of Appalachia. Dan was a great host and teacher.
