Traditional Scottish Song. My Arrangement. Aeolus Rosewood Dulcimer with Spruce Soundboard. My mom just gave me that harp stool which has been in our family for generations!
Beautifully done! Your playing is so expressive. I have the words to this somewhere...about some red haired girl and the guy says 'my heart is a boat in tow"

This is very well played Guy. Beatiful song and wonderful arrangment. You also have a really good sound quality on this video. What equipment were you using to record it?
That's funny Cheryl! It does happen though doesn't it? I have all my other acoustic instruments in another room if they aren't being played when I do any recording for that very same reason!
It really sounds great! Thanks for the information. My music room has a bit of echo to it and I have to put away all my guitars when I record otherwise they sing along!!
Thank you Cheryl! There is a tiny bit of reverb... my room has acoustical treatment in it, so the sound is extra dry... i need a little reverb just to sound like a room again.
Really beautiful arrangement and played so smoothly! I like the sound of your dulcimer. Can I ask are your recording straight through the mic or are you mixing the sound? Sounds like a little reverb, but maybe that's just your awesome dulcimer! :)
Guy, have just listened to it again, and thro' Dusty's comment, found the tab, thanks !!! (It don't have to be pretty, just readable, and that it is !)
Guy, I chose a spruce top with a birds eye maple body. If you ask Dale, you may see it before I do. I'm sure it's going to be exquisite both in looks and sound. The dulcimer's siren song pulled me in when I first heard it. I thought to myself, it sounded like what I imagine the angels would play. It still sounds as well to me especially when I hear the lovely Celtic tunes played by you. Thank you so much for sharing. Linda
Thank you so much Sylvia and Sue!

I'm finally working with Tabledit. Here is a cleaner tab of this arrangement if you are interested. http://www.voice-lessons.com/Tab/Loch%20Tay.pdf

My pleasure Dusty! I look forward to seeing and hearing you play your new dulcimer Linda!!!
Thanks for sharing that tab, Guy. Very nice of you.
Those Aeolus dulcimers sure look nice. Of course, the price means I'll never own one unless a nice person buys me one.
