I Once Loved a Lad

musician/member name: Music
Duration: 00:03:04
description:
sung using mountain dulcimer (1-5-8) tuning. Regarded as a Scots ballad, it is a song about unrequited love and inferring a death, probably by suicide in the last 2 verses. Very old song, versions of it date back at least to the 1680s according to Wikipedia.

thank you Ariane... but...I am much too self critical of my playing AND singing to actually see myself while attempting it. Ugh. That's just me.

@Ariane

Ariane, if Janene had the ability to watch herself as she plays and sings, she would discover the glow that surrounds all of us who play beautiful music, wouldn't you agree?  bighug

I played this song for my wife and it gave her goosebumps!

Thanks again for sharing such a lovely and haunting tune.
